Hello! I'm Dr. Vyvian Gorbea, and I'm the owner and veterinarian at Plymouth Veterinary Hospital in Plymouth, Michigan.
Can you tell us about your educational background?
I attended Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. I have a bachelor's degree in animal science from Michigan State University, and also my doctor of veterinary medicine from Michigan State University, where I graduated in 1990.
Can you tell us more about Plymouth Veterinary Hospital?
I have been the proud owner of Plymouth Veterinary Hospital since 1999! Plymouth Veterinary Hospital is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association. Only fifteen percent of veterinary hospitals in the United States and Canada are members of this association. We subscribe ourselves to very high standards of veterinary medicine and get certified every three years.
We've been a member of the American Animal Hospital Association for over thirty-two years.
Can you tell us more about you and any organizations you are a part of?
I focus my interest in small animal medicine, dentistry, and surgery. I have received advanced training in veterinary dentistry, oral surgery and pathology at the Animal Dental Center in Baltimore, Maryland. While I love all ages of all pets, the special bond between people and “senior” pets is unique and special to me.
I want to work with owners to achieve optimum health and quality of life for their pets. I am a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Dental Society, and World Vets.
I enjoy spending time with my family and my rescue dog, Rambo, as well as traveling. I am also fluent in Spanish, with my roots buried in Puerto Rico!
